National Data Protection Conference 2026
From Obligation to Operation: DPDP Compliance in Practice
The National Data Protection Conference 2026 is a two-day practitioner-focused event for compliance professionals, legal teams, and senior management working through DPDP compliance. Organised by the Centre for Applied Data Protection (CADP) at KLE Law College, Bengaluru, the conference brings together Chief Compliance Officers, Data Protection Officers, and senior practitioners from across BFSI, healthcare, edtech, and IT.
About the Conference
Background
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 is no longer approaching. The Rules were notified in November 2025, and enforcement is expected to begin in 2026–2027. Every organisation that processes digital personal data now carries a compliance obligation that is specific, time-bound, and backed by significant penalties.
The challenge most organisations face is not awareness. They know the Act exists. The more pressing question is: what do we actually need to do, and how do we build it into our existing operations before enforcement begins? That is the question this conference is designed to address.
About the Conference
The National Data Protection Conference 2026 is a two-day, practitioner-focused event for compliance professionals, legal teams, and senior management working through DPDP compliance. Each day combines keynotes, panel discussions, and workshops, so attendees engage with both the broader regulatory landscape and specific compliance challenges.
This is not a theoretical exercise. Sessions focus on what the law requires, what regulators expect, and how organisations can build compliance programmes that hold up in practice.
